Moving right along...

Well...I haven't been posting much. Plans are moving forward. I now have an apartment and roommate!! Yay! I also got laid off from my job. At first, this was a bit of a shock. Now, I'm realizing what a blessing this will be. I have the rest of the summer to get packed and moved. I don't have to try to get everything done during the evenings.

I'm still overwhelmed with the idea that I'm moving. Some days it's just too much to imagine.

At church, I've jumped in with both feet. I've been asked to go on the Missions trip to Kentucky. I've actually never been on a missions trip, so I'm looking forward to the experience. Also, I've started getting the music program planned for the fall. We still don't have an interim hired and I was getting concerned about how much work we would be asking an interim to do. I spoke to Stuart and he agreed that we need to get as organized as possible before then. So, I've taken that on as my last big thing at church.

The plan is still for me to leave here on Sept 6th and drive to mom and dad in Florida. I'll spend a week there, including Night of Joy. On either Sunday, Sept 12th or Monday, Sept 13th mom and I will take off for our cross-country trek to Cali. Our current plan is to DEFINATELY stop at the Grand Canyon. We have other places we'd like to visit, but that will depend on time.
